How do local people living next to conservation areas experience their daily lives? What aspects of their lives do they wish to portray and discuss?

In 2018, a research team of SLE invited local communities living next to Lobéké National Park, Cameroon, to participate in PhotoVoice, a method of visual anthropology, to document “important aspects of their lives”. For the first time, we show a selection of this material, offering a glimpse into local peoples’ lived realities, hopes, and aspirations. Have a look here.
