Off to Nature in Southern Africa

As part of the yearly overseas projects in the SLE postgraduate study programme, our team of six SLE students was tasked with evaluating GIZ activities within the “Transboundary use and protection of natural resources in the SADC region” Programme.

The three-monthly research was conducted in the Eswatini, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zambia. On the ground, the team visited project sites and interacted with regional, national, and local stakeholders. The assignment also took the team to South Africa, where the report was compiled, and Botswana, where the preliminary findings were presented to the project partner in October 2019.
